Mondays!!!!

April 27, 2009

Imagine.

Imagine you get up in the morning after a Nice weekend (where you did nothing but eat, sleep, sit lazily, watch the idiot box, waste money for shopping all those things which are absolutely unnecessary at that period of time, catch up with friends and family and so on and so forth)and then you realize it is Monday. Then begins the hurry. Get out of the bed, get ready, catch the cab, go to office, check office mails, reply to them, plan the things to do for at least half the coming week, check gmail, yahoomail, orkut, facebook, reply to them, open Google reader read all the blogs written during the weekend, write a comment to them, and in between do some office work. By this time one of your colleagues pings you and calls for lunch. Now, go for lunch, come back and get back to work, then suddenly you realize you have a meeting in an hour (why do people plan most of the meetings on Mondays??) and hence less working hours, try to complete you work ASAP, come back from the meeting where you hardly say anything but listen to someone who goes on and on, again get back to work, and then you realize it’s time you go home, pack all your things and leave.

Phew!! Tiring isn’t it?? That’s how most of the Mondays are 😦 😦

Most boring and the most disliked day of the week. If I look back, things weren’t like this before. Back in our school days I didn’t have 2 holidays a week. It was just that precious Sunday. I used to love it and wait for the Sunday to come. But then I dint dislike Mondays like this. Go to school the whole week, wait for the Sunday and back to normal from Monday.

In my graduation days, we had 5 day-a-week. So life was like: go to college, study a little, enjoy a little, and life used to go on smoothly. Monday meant coming back to college, show-off your new dress or accessories which you brought during the weekend to your friends, long discussions about we did or what movies we watched during the weekend.

But ever since I started working, my dislike to Mondays started. After a nice, happy, relaxing weekend, I hate Mondays where I have to get back to work and ‘work’ for the next week. I do enjoy the work what i do and i don’t over-work but being the lazy person i am, i just dislike this day.

The thought of writing my *love* to Mondays incidentally came on the last Monday. Had a very very hectic Monday last week and in between all that work and hurry, the thought of writing a blog post on this came but dint have time to do it then. But this Monday turned out to be different, where i have a little less work. So here I am sitting before my system and typing out these words on a much disliked Monday.

Hope all of you reading this have a less-hectic mondays 🙂

now when i started going home for weekends.. and monday morning hav to get up early to catch the bus.. the whole journey i jus keep thinking how nice it would be stay at home.. i jus envy my bro who is not even awake when i leave for office

    Hahahaha
don’t worry madam. once you are done with your training, you can enjoy your weekends and then you will understand how awful Mondays are.
In my case, i don’t have to envy my brother, as he will also start his mornings like me, cursing Monday 😀

Oh this reminds me of those days from long ago when I was working 🙂 Now everyday is just another day for me 🙂 I remember how I used to abs hate scheduling any meetings on Mondays and how I would struggle to reach work on time – after the weekend hangover:)

i don’t understand whether they do it intentionally or not but most of the meetings are scheduled on mondays ony 😦
Good that you don’t have to worry about mondays now 😀 😀

even i love the work i do 😛
but it’s like on mondays i have to get up early and hurry to reach office after a nice relaxing weekend..that is what i hate about it. not the work.

Monday is the most boring day of the week, If ever I get a chance of staying home and not working I would jump at it…

I am such a lazy person and a slouch.. I dont feel guilty too that I hate work and dont want to work… Infact i am pleading to my wife to take care of the house financially and I ll be home…

    exaclty!! mondays are so boring..
lol at ur plans of becoming a house-husband 🙂

Mondays do have a bad reputation 😉

Although I wait for Friday all week, I don’t have Monday morning blues because everybody wakes up in time, follows a routine and leaves home for their school/work etc… I feel organised after the chaos of the weekends 🙂

But by Wednesday one is waiting for Friday again 🙂

I start waiting for Fridays from Monday itself 😀
You feel organized on Mondays? I can partially understand it, you keep the home neat and tidy and on weekends when everyone is at home, they make it a total mess 🙂
it happens in my home also.. my mom has loads of work on mondays 🙂
